The Visual Effects Society Awards (“VES” for short) recently presented the 2021 annual awards. The second season of the Star Wars spin-off American drama "The Mandalorian" won three of the three awards.
The special effects production label Base FX under Sunac Culture, as a strategic partner of the world-renowned film special effects production company Industrial Light and Magic founded by "Father of Star Wars" George Lucas, has deeply participated in the special effects production of this series of dramas . Among them, about 450 special effects shots were produced for the first season, including several animated scenes of IG-11 robots and Mandalorian shots; in the second season, a total of 125 artists from Base FX participated in the production of special effects shots.
The second season of "The Mandalorian" won three major awards in VES: the best visual effect of a TV single episode, the best animated character award in the TV category, and the best artificial environment award in the TV category.
The "Mandalorian" series is the first live-action series of Star Wars. The story background is set under the Star Wars universe. The "road story" of bounty hunters and Baby Yoda greatly enriches the universe of Star Wars. Opened another gorgeous sci-fi western.
