The movie The Gray Man directed by the Russell Brothers and produced by Netflix has finally come to an end. In order to celebrate this moment, the Russell brothers posted a behind-the-scenes photo on their social networking site, with the text saying: When they asked you to leave the crew, it was because The Gray Man was killed.

Since the film settled on Netflix in July 2020, it took a whole year for the film to be successfully completed, which can be described as a long time. The Gray Man is adapted from the novel of the same name published in 2009 and written by Mark Greene. Once published in the United States, it has been well received. The protagonist of the novel, Kurt Gentry, is a former CIA agent with extraordinary intelligence and agility. Gray Man is his nickname. But he later became a hired killer. His extraordinary ability became a thorn in the eyes of a group. When he was on a mission in the Middle East, Kurt Gentry was originally waiting for a powerful rescue team. Unexpectedly, he Become the target of the rescue team. The Gray Man also has two sequel novels, namely Targeting and Thriller. If the first is successful, the sequel will start shooting naturally. In the plan, Netflix intends to turn it into a series of 007-level films.

It is understood that Netflix and the film’s creator Russell Brothers paid US$200 million for the film, and this is also one of the highest-invested films in Netflix’s history. Prior to this, director James Gray had participated in the preparation of this project, and even Brad Pitt was the number one male candidate, but the project has been stagnated because of the inconsistent schedule of the director and the lead actor. Until the end, Sony abandoned the project and sold it to Netflix. It is understood that Netflix is very optimistic about this film. However, currently, the video has no plans to go live.
