The recent release of Fast and Furious 9 reminds me that Fast and Furious 7 has not been watched yet. I can't wait to find the film online to watch. However, after watching this film, I was quite disappointed, but in fact I fell into disillusionment. This film is the most unlike Fast and Furious series of films.
The appearance of the Skynet system in the movie and the use of it in the decisive battle have a feeling of Suspect Tracking. Since Skynet is the most important, core and key plot prop in the film, most of the plot of the whole film is developed around the Skynet system.
On the other hand, the appearance of the secret espionage organization, the villain whose identity is set as a former member of the Black Ops, and the confrontation with other organizations. Does anyone feel like watching a spy movie like me? Especially the scenes where the protagonist and a group of people rob the Skynet system in Azerbaijan and Abu Dhabi are completely similar to Mission Impossible.
There is no surpassing, no breakthrough. This is a failure of the film, and it is also one of the main reasons for my disappointment. But the biggest problem is the script.
Wen Ziren is a very talented director. The use of lens rotation at various angles in the film enhances the visual effects and viewing experience of the film. If it weren't for Paul's accidental departure, I believe the original script would be even more exciting.
Paul, I believe it is the biggest motivation for many viewers to watch this film. His departure has also become the biggest selling point and publicity stunt of the film. In memory of Paul, the MV of the last three minutes of the movie recalls his scenes in the previous six movies. It is really embarrassing to see the young faces of Paul and Toledo, Roman, Mia, and Taiji in the first two films of Fast and Furious. Fifteen years have passed, and the years have carved marks on everyone's faces. The role is like this, the actors are like this.
