Friends Reunion: a heartwarming look back

The show is basically a documentary, with live interviews and recorded greetings and mementos from guests, plus a retrospective of past episodes.

The most touching moment was at the beginning when the six people walked into the studio one by one and saw the scenes that had been reconstructed, with great detail. When the last episode of season 10 was filmed, the set was torn down the next day because there was new work to be done. This reunion is so difficult to put back together that it should be kept open to visitors. The other thing is that when the final episode was filmed, everyone was crying in the corridor, hugging each other, which was very touching.

The amazing part is that all the main actors, and even some of the older actors, like Ross's parents, are still alive and well, some in good spirits.

The costume show was also a highlight, especially when Matt LeBlanc, who played Joey, wore all of Chandler's clothes.

The biggest surprise, of course, was the revelation that Ross and Rachel's David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston also had intimate relationships, but only in the first season of the show, because both were constantly dating and didn't tell anyone. In the previous interview, they said that they were a little worried that a private relationship would affect the filming, so they kept a tacit distance.

Another unknown is that the showrunner said that Monica and Chandler's one-night stand in London was so overwhelming that the audience was screaming and clapping that they decided to let the two of them get together. It was originally intended to be a brief affair, but the overwhelming response from the audience led them to rewrite the script,

The non-show guests who were invited to appear on the show talked about why they liked the show, its influence on them, and which characters or episodes they liked the most.

Unfortunately, many of the stars who had guest starred in the show did not give their blessing. Only Reese Witherspoon appeared. The likes of Brad Pitt, Paul Rudd and Julia Roberts didn't appear in person, just looking back at their scenes.

What IMPRESSED me most was that, except for Chandler, all the other actors were really like their characters. They talked and acted like they were from the show. Only Matthew Perry has sadly become a little quiet, without Chandler's energy and sense of humor. It's probably the meanest road he's had in years.

Overall, it was full of good memories, and I'm sure you'll want to revisit the show after watching it!
