Father's love is full of enlightenment and creation. He may not have money, he may not be handsome, he may not even be smart, but he cannot lack love.
Although Sam only has the IQ of a seven-year-old, he loves his daughter Lucy more than any father. He can spend the whole afternoon playing with Lucy in the park. He will read the storybook he has read aloud thousands of times to make her fall asleep. He will also plan a game for Lucy with his friends with intellectual disabilities. A birthday party full of surprises.
In the case of Lucy's custody dispute, Sam's love for Lucy benefited the female lawyer who had a tense relationship with her son. It also moved the couple who adopted Lucy and voluntarily gave up their adoption rights. This dad, who only has the IQ of a seven-year-old, used his pure love to tell the judge and all parents that all the child needs is love.
Many parents, they say, love their children more than anything else, but in fact they are deceiving themselves. They want their children to grow up as they envisioned. They never listen to their ideas. They don't spend time playing and communicating with their children. They just want their children to be “faster, taller and stronger”, and they will take advantage of it. Other children come to compare with their own children...Do they really love their own children? Or do you love the expectation of your child in your heart?
In contrast, Sam's love for Lucy is the purest. He and Lucy accompany each other to establish a common life goal, although many times, he really can't handle it.
In the end, Lucy returned to Sam's arms, and the female lawyer became Sam's good friend, and she learned to build friendship with her son.
Lawyer: "Who is your role model? As Lucy's father, who do you want to be like?"
Sam: "Myself, I use myself as a role model for my father."
......
Sam: "Good parents need to be consistent, they need patience, they need to listen, even if they can't listen, they must pretend to listen."
