After confirming that Leslie Grace will play Barbara Gordon, the film Batgirl continues the casting work. J.K. Simmons, who once played the role of Director Gordon in Justice League, is discussing with the producer about returning to the role. If all goes well, he will return to play the role of Chief Gordon.

Director Gordon, formerly known as James Gordon, is a superhero under the DC Comics of the United States. He represents the side of justice and the only light of justice, the voice of law and public power in Gotham. Gordon can be said to be the character who paid the most for justice in the entire Batman story. It is also the most tragic and sad character, even surpassing Batman. At the same time, he is also one of Batman's few friends and partners. When Gordon first appeared on the scene, he was only the chief of police, but he had no supporting role in the scene, except that he had the legal ability to sanction criminals, and Batman was a lyncher. In the follow-up story, Gordon learned about Batman's intentions while investigating Batman. Although Batman is not entirely the righteous party, he gradually began to accept his existence and cooperate with each other.

The Batgirl Barbara Gordon is the daughter of James Gordon. The appearance of Batman inspired the young Barbara to embark on the road of fighting crime. She soon started working with Batman and Robin. Less than a year after becoming a second-generation bat girl, Barbara was shot by a clown, paralyzing her lower body. She got into a wheelchair and provided hacking technical support to Batman as an oracle. Three years later, her body underwent an operation and healed, and she returned as a Batwoman. Batgirl is the second solo film featuring women in the DC film, after Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. The film has not yet been finalized, but some media have indicated that the film may be released in 2022.
