Disney is developing a mansion encantada. The casting news was announced a few days ago. Lekes Steinfeld and Tiffany Hades both joined the crew. Lekas Steinfeld once starred in Escape from Death; and Tiffany Hades is a famous African American actress who was named the world's most influential figure in Time Magazine in 2018.
Previously, the film’s director combination has also been determined. The screenwriter of Hot Police Flower and Super Expendables will write the script for the film; Justin Simeon, who has directed Dear White People, Will direct the film. Disney's new version of The Mansion of the Ghosts will go in a comedy style. This is in line with the positioning of Disney's family carnival. In 2003, Disney filmed a piece of Haunted House based on this amusement facility in the park, starring Eddie Murphy. The film earned US$182 million in the global box office that year, but the film’s reputation is average, and Rotten Tomatoes has only 14% freshness, which did not meet Disney’s expectations. Therefore, it is logical that Disney chose to restart the Ghost Mansion project.
mansion encantada is one of the last rides designed by Walt Disney. It debuted at Disneyland in 1969, and it can also be seen in Walt Disney World and Tokyo Disneyland in Orlando, Florida. In fact, Disney is very good at finding film materials from the park’s amusement projects. The popular Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Adventures are films adapted from the park project.
