Kevin Smith directs Masters of the Universe, an animated Netflix series officially titled Master of the Universe: Revelation, which hits theaters July 23.
It's worth mentioning that toy company Mattel has also announced that they are launching a new series of Masters of the Universe toys based on the new anime.
Animation team part, Kevin Smith for Masters of the Universe: Powerhouse Animation Studios, the team behind Netflix's Castlevania animated series, will be responsible for creating the Animation, which will be more mature than the original kid-focused Animation.
In addition, Kevin Smith has also mentioned that the new series will be a genuine sequel to the original 1983 Masters of the Universe, continuing the previous ending. Interestingly, the visual inspiration for the Masters of the Universe series is toys. We have a great cast. First, Masters of the Universe: Revelation has Chris Wood from The Vampire Diaries as He-Man. Mark Hamill, the joker in Arkham Asylum, is Skeletor's voice.
Other voices include Sarah Michelle Gillan as Teela, Lena Hayley as Evil-Lyn, Alicia Silverstone as Queen Marlena, and Battle Stephen Root as Cat, Griffin Newman as Orko, Justin Long as Roboto, And Harley Quinn Smith as Ilena.
Masters of the Universe: Revelation will be available on Netflix on July 23.
