Ratched is an adaptation of the well-known 1962 novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and its 1975 film adaptation. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is One of the most famous movies of all time. It's about Ratched, the ruthless and overhanded head nurse of a mental hospital.

The eight-episode "Ratched" is a prequel to "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," which follows Ratched before he became a nurse and stars Sarah Paulson. The story begins in 1947, when Ratched's brother is committed to a mental hospital in northern California after killing four priests.

Ratched decides to enlist as a nurse in the mental hospital in the hope of saving his brother, but in the process, he encounters a series of bloody murders. The younger brother even has sex with a beautiful young nurse and even kills innocent people before eloping. How exactly is Ratched going to pick up the pieces?

Speaking about Ratched's inner life, Sarah Paulson, who is a great actor in the film, told the media: 'I understand ratched's loneliness. I think the loneliness is what makes her a monster, the constant struggle to survive and the constant feeling of home. While the methods she chose to feel safe are unacceptable, it is possible that she did so not out of selfishness but out of survival, leading her to blindly engage in inappropriate behavior."

"Ratched" is executive produced by Ryan Murphy, who has produced dramas such as "American Horror Story," "Hollywood," and "The Politician."

The first two episodes, directed by Ryan Mayfair himself, are reminiscent of the visual style of "American Horror Story," with their nostalgic and ornate set design, quirky atmosphere, and strong and whimsical lighting tones. The story is not a straightforward narrative, but sequence, flashbacks, and interludes. The story is also full of bizarre plots that violate the common sense of morality, including sex, bloody murder, surgery and so on, which makes the audience feel terrible.

The show also stars Sharon Stone, 62, as an eccentric rich woman who murders a man to get back at the dean for maimed her son. She also plays opposite Sarah Paulson. Sharon Stone in the play of the modeling is gorgeous and grandiose, more constantly playing with the pet monkey, the performance is very eye-catching.

Another standout character is the director of a mental hospital (Jon Jon Briones). His attempts to treat mental illness in the 1940s, including drilling holes in the sides of patients' skulls and cutting ice picks through their eyes, were breathtaking. They made the right choice by boldly casting The Filipino-born Briens, who gives a natural and excusable, if crazy, performance and humanizes the dean by explaining his vulnerable side.
