Regret! Natalie Portman withdraws from HBO Days of Abandonment

Natalie Portman officially withdrew from HBO's new film Days Abandoned. She was originally scheduled to play the heroine Tess in the film. After her resignation, HBO announced that she would no longer promote the film.

An HBO spokesperson said, “Due to unforeseen personal reasons, Natalie Portman has withdrawn from HBO Pictures’ Days Abandoned before filming began. Unfortunately, the show will not continue. We are very sorry that we will not be able to bring this beautiful story to the screen with our talented directors, screenwriters and actors. We sincerely thank our actors, producers and staff for their enthusiasm and hard work.

Days Abandoned was originally intended to be based on the novel of the same name written by Elena Ferrante, about the heroine Tess (Natalie Portman) who gave up her dream for a stable family life, but was later Abandoned by her husband and brought with her two young children, she was devastated and forced to face the story of her own shadow.
