John Wesley Shipp, who starred as Jay Garrick in the Golden Age of the Flash, will make a guest appearance on THE second season of DC's Stargirl, officially tying Stargirl to the rest of the Arrow universe and setting the stage for future multi-show crossover.
Stargirl takes place on Earth-2, which is not the same Earth as the Flash, Supergirl and Batwoman in the Arrow universe. And when John Wesley Heep's Jay Garrick the Flash makes an appearance on "Stargirl" Season 2, Episode 9, the show will go back to when Jay Garrick became a founding member of The Justice Society of America, and link the Stargirl universe to the rest of the Greenarrow universe, It's a sign that Stargirl will become part of the larger Arrow TV universe.
"It also opens the door for cross-referencing with other characters in the Arrow universe, which is very important," said Geoff Johns, executive producer of Stargirl. And when we do cross linkage, we want to do it the way Stargirl did." Season 2 of Stargirl premieres Aug. 10 on the CW.
