The film Finch, directed by Game of Thrones director Miguel Sapusnik and starring the famous actor Tom Hanks, has set the schedule. According to the producer's plan, the film will be launched on Apple's on-demand platform on November 5 this year.

Finch is a science fiction movie in which Hanks plays the robotic engineer Finch. He was one of the few survivors of a catastrophic solar storm that turned the earth into a wasteland. When he was terminally ill, he created a robot to look after his beloved dog. Then, a human, a robot, and a dog embarked on a dangerous journey to the desolate western United States. During this journey, Finch tried to show his work what it means to be a human and how to take care of his dog. The dog must also learn to adapt to his new owner. It can be said that the film has the characteristics of a strong apocalypse. It is worth mentioning that Craig Luck, the screenwriter of the film, once wrote the scripts for Doctor Strange and Mission Impossible 5.

The film was previously named Life (Bios), and then changed its name to Finch. The initial release of the film was scheduled for October 2020, and it was later postponed to August 13th, 2021. Now it is postponed again to the end of the year. This is a film that has landed on streaming media, and there is no need for epidemic prevention and control. Therefore, the repeated postponements of releases may be the reason why Apple hopes that Finch can hit the awards season.
