Venom 2 / Venom: Let There Be Carnage release date move to the first weekend of October. according to Sony studio’s website. The Original release date was set on Oct. 15. The movie will now arrive two weeks earlier.  The follow-up to the 2018 blockbuster Venom sees Tom Hardy reprise his role as Venom/ Eddie Brock opposite Woody Harrelson as supervillain Carnage

The date change comes on the heels of the recent success from Marvel superhero movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which was also the second-biggest domestic opening of the year, behind July's Black Widow. Four-day box office results came in at $90 million for “Shang-Chi”

These numbers indicate fans’willingness to turn out for some movies in theaters even amid Covid concerns. Generally, cinemas have been struggling to recover from pandemic shutdowns. A lack of new releases to show impacted them. What content did arrive in theaters was made available on streaming services, concurrently in some cases.
