This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

This documentary is all about telescopes--the history of them, modern advances and the like. Now I will admit up front that I am not the best person to review this film, as I have little interest in astronomy. The way I see it, there's no way we'll ever make it to other planets outside our solar system (the distance is so much greater than most people think)--so what's the point. As I said, I am not the best person to review the film since I don't see much practical application for bigger and more expensive telescopes. But, if you are interested, it IS well made and rather complete. You see the many different types and the discussion is very nice (even if the narrator's voice is a bit too peaceful and relaxing for me). Well made.
