I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

If you put Cocktails and Boogie Nights together you get 54. Wait Boogie Nights came out just before 54??!!! Another one of Hollywood's tricks to make a similar movie. Yes Mike Myers played a great actor. His laugh, LOL!!!

This movie should only be reviewed as the 2015's Director's Cut which is far superior to the original theatrical cut. While falling short of a masterpiece, the Director's Cut is an entertaining, fluent and fairly daring movie without the nonsensical and terrible re-shoot and editing decisions that sunk the earlier version.

a young man in a crazy universe. fun, dramas, Mike Meyers in a seductive performance, Ryan Philippe in a nice role. and a legendary club who represents only the pretext for recreate the spirit of a period. far to be a great film, it is a decent one. and that is the only important thing- to explore the forms of a form of hedonism, free circle with its great problems, the need to escape and the surrogate of happiness. 54 has not the ambition to be a documentary. only a show about myths and bitter taste of success, hypocrisy and ambition. and it does a good job, giving few crumbs from an illusory universe. a film about forms of seduction who seduce itself. that could be all.

I loved it because the characters are all involved in the same deep events that show how they were all interested in fame, money, that glory that was possible inside of that disco.Shane O' Shea is not a hero,he is very far from it to be honest, even Neve and Salma Hayek, their characters are searching for some kind of situation or connection that will put them on the spot and it is great how real it is.I am happy I ignored the bad reviews, and experienced on my own a bit of the reality inside the night club.Mike Myers is doing really really great as Steve Rubell, his performance is amazing,I was impressed.I could not really hate him ha ha! The songs are great,I always loved If You Could Read My Mind.I had a nice time watching it,I definitely recommend you to give it a chance too.
