Such a frustrating disappointment

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

The movie really just wants to entertain people.

It describes the last three days of the Pe-2 soviet diving bomber crew -- the three young men about 20: a former school teacher, musician and artist. An excellent integration of original documentary film chronicle into the modern film shooting. One of the best works of Oleg Dal ( air gunner ).
