Allison Davies

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

Just watch it. If this doesn't tear at your heart strings, you're not human. Good acting, especially from the kid who plays kid Ethan and a good story. I laughed, smiled and cried and I am so happy I decided to watch it!

This movie is simply amazing. It appeals to so many emotions that I can't even name them. It made me cry like a little baby. If watching a dog die is bad, this movie is the worst!

Prior to this movie's release, there was a huge controversy. Someone who obviously hated the production sent video of the German Shepard to TMZ types and did a fake news story stating the dogs were mishandled. This put people in an uproar and the opening was cancelled. The film fell flat in the movie theaters. To that person - I hope you are never able to find a good parking space ever. You hurt people's ability to make money and tried to destroy the film. There were unknown actors - this was their big break and you ruined it. Hope the money you made from fake news is enough to satisfy your dark and twisty soul. OK got that over with. Bad karma will follow you to the end of your life. NOW - the movie is wonderful. For dog lovers it provides us with the possibility that our former pets somehow live again. Even if they were euthanized before finding their "furever" home, in this fictional world, they get second - third - fourth lives. The entire movie was totally heartwarming. I laughed and cried through a lot of it. A Dog's Purpose is up there with Marley and Me and is watchable for children who can grasp loss and not have nightmares over it.The dogs were amazing - the actors were terrific and I was happy to see that the cast included many unknown actors (who now will probably never got noticed because of the horrible person who took that video and caused the film to not be as successful as it could have been)So my advice - watch this film. You will feel good after you do.
