It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

Ratings can make or break a movie. How many times have we skipped a movie because of a bad review ? A Good Marriage is a very entertaining, watchable movie.Due to this review,I would of passed on this, but I watched the movie before I read the review.Lucky me.As I try to understand why this movie was given a thumbs down,I cannot come to any rhyme or reason why this movie was tossed in the outhouse.Maybe IMDB should review the reviewer.

This really comes across as a TV movie. There is nothing special about it. The styling is very much 'stepford wives' in that it portrays a perfect American family, a perfect marriage that others are envious of. No hair out of place, a couple who have been married 25 years yet still have sex, still love each other and take pride in how they look. That all comes to a screeching halt when Darcy stumbles across the fact that her husband is a serial killer. My thoughts are that this film is watchable but I wouldn't rate it as particularly good. It's passable at best.

...chases the screaming wife around the house. That's an actual line of dialog from this. I think had it followed that Lifetime-ish plot it would have been a more entertaining movie. Even though it aired on LMN, I can't call it a Lifetime movie.I saw some familiar actors here and decided to give it a watch. I liked Anthony Lapgalia in Without a Trace, and Joan Allen is Pamela Lundy from the Jason Bourne movies. This was a good movie until about 20 minutes in. Wife Allen finds out that hubby and father of their two kids Lapaglia is the notorious serial killer Beadie.Contacting the police is out of the question, and in a mix of actual and fantasy she just soldiers on for the status quo of her family. Other reviews I read called it boring and I agree. I'll add implausible as well. OK honey, so you've ganked several women. Just promise not to do it again and we'll put it behind us.Then with 36 minutes on the clock (with commercials) she ganks him out of the blue. Or did she? He comes back around and in the most exciting scene she goes Jason Bourne on him to finish the job.The remainder is anticlimactic with Stephen Lang showing up as a retired investigator at death's door who has somehow figured out who Beadie is. Why did he even talk to her? I almost fell asleep in the ending bit in the hospital room.

I haven't seen a new movie based on Stephen King material in awhile, and saw this off Netflix, so I thought I'd give this a go. I noticed it's pretty new- a 2014 film- yet absolutely have no memory of it being released in theaters. Overall, it's a major let-down.Looking into this further, I read at Wikipedia that Stephen King based his book on the Dennis Rader AKA The "BTK Killer". I even read that Rader's daughter was opposed to King doing so, saying she didn't want him to be profiting off the victims. Well, that being said, if you want to see a much better film about BTK (there are at least 3 or 4 others), I would recommend watching the made-for-CBS TV movie called "Hunt for the BTK Killer" starring Robert Forster. It's a "CSI"-style show, with a compelling performance by Gregg Henry as Rader. This movie isn't much more than a Lifetime Movie Network film; a BTK story from the wife's perspective, and really didn't find much interesting or compelling about this piece at all.
