Pop superstar Adelaide Kay is so fed up with her controlling manager that she sneaks off the tour bus after their latest squabble. Though exhilarated to be free, she finds herself stranded in the freezing cold of a Pennsylvania winter, with no money and no plan. A local family, the Lapps, take her in. They know the true meaning of the season, even if they’re close to losing their tree farm. No one in the family recognizes Adelaide except Dillon, the oldest son.

This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows

While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

This was actually one of the better Hallmark Christmas season movies that I have seen during the 2017 Christmas season.Sure, it followed the generic and stereotypical formula that Hallmark use in every single one of their Christmas movies, but it just worked out better somehow in "A Song for Christmas".A lot of credit for making this a good movie should be given to Becca Tobin for her performance in the movie, because she really carried this greatly. While "A Song for Christmas" doesn't have the potential to become a Christmas classic, nor being a movie that you watch more than once, it is still beautiful enough to take the time and sit down with your loved ones to watch once during the yuletide seasons.

I DVRd this movie when it first aired. I liked it so much, I didn't delete it. I've now watched it several times. The movie is all about following your dreams. It's about family. It's about standing up for yourself. It's about listening and standing with your kids. The chemistry between the two leads is amazing. Nice Holiday movie...

For a musical based Christmas movie there isn't much music just a song at the end. Forgettable. The story is mainly about the struggle to keep a Christmas Tree farm going. A singing star gets snowbound in a town and falls in love with the guy whose family owns a Christmas Tree farm. At least there isn't too much contrived drama. But there isn't much of anything.

Adelaide Kay is a country music rising star who gets left behind in a small town when her bus leaves without her. Traffic jams and weather problems delay them in returning and even after that she decides to make it difficult for them to find her.Meanwhile, Addie finds an extremely friendly and giving family, most of whom don't know who she is. Of course the family is about to lose their farm. Most of the movie focuses on Addie falling love with the family, and with Dillon, and trying to help as they fight to hold on. There is no hidden lie between her and Dillon since he figures out who she is early on.Becca Tobin and Kevin McGarry fall into an easy relationship founded on the characters' mutual love for music. All the actors in the family are real and lovable. Kendra Leigh Timmins is especially so as the teenage sister of Dillon who devises a vision for saving the farm. One acting or possibly directing criticism: the adoring fans with signs (as shown in previews) were lame. The story is about having courage to follow your dreams and is totally predictable but enjoyable.
