Truly Dreadful Film
Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.
View MoreI think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
View MoreThere is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
View MoreWhile none are favourites of mine, I do like the output of Burbank Animation Studios, even with the limitations some of them have. This Ali Baba does have some rather stiff character animation, dialogue that comes across as corny and some of the voice acting is rather clichéd and lacking in subtlety. However, the backgrounds are suitably colourful, the story sticks generally in spirit to the original story and is engaging especially for the main target audience and the music is pleasant and dynamic with what is going on. The characters are not as compelling as they are in the story but are likable enough here.Overall, there has been better from Burbank, such as The Count of Monte Cristo, Hansel and Gretel and Hans and the Silver Skates, but it is still very watchable. 7/10 Bethany Cox
