All for Melissa Trailers

Set in Hawaii, All For Melissa is a touching, beautiful feature film that tells the story of a young man's coming to grips with the reality of his everyday life. It shows that even though you may not get the girl of your dreams, the movie star fantasy; sometimes the girl next door, your best friend, is better than any dream girl ever could be. What sets All For Melissa apart from other films of this genre is the role the landscape, culture, and spirit of the Hawaii plays in the film. This is a love letter to Hawaii, a big aloha, and mahalo to the land and the people of this state.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.

The plot is difficult to follow and understand. The zany approach sustains humorous undertones and eventually reveals the reason for the lead characters desire to meet the actress. Often, the script is average and drags. All acting is above par. The character acting by Maxwell Smart is quite entertaining. Smart is an easy to watch combination of Bruce Lee meets Al Pacino. Smart's physical acting adds to the deliberate humor of the film. The on-location shots at Barbers Point, Oahu are beautiful. The North shore scene at the shave ice store is refreshing. This cute film is worthy of one watch. Hopefully there will be more Hawaii-based productions.
