An Exercise In Nonsense
Lewis Klahr's "hands-on" approach brings us to space, or inner space, or a general idea of science fiction relative to 50s iconography and cocktail parties. As subjects move around under the hand-eyes of Klahr's particular approach to animation, relative orbits are created with maps of stars, lists of alcoholic beverages, and a slow spinning sensation throughout. Outer space could be so dizzying because it is outside of gravity, or inner space could be just as dizzying because it could be upset... the cause or effect of which might be the alcohol, either way.Along with it comes a strong sense of the familiar, the relative.--PolarisDiB
