Good start, but then it gets ruined

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

Pingo-2 from Sweden tells Russo "Please get an education". I guess many people from Europe are not entirely informed about the subjects covered. Its known that Education inside America and Europe has been tampered with on purpose. So the phrase "Please get an education" is a very stupid remark in the context of the material covered by "from Freedom to Fascism". One of the conclusions after digging into the subjects covered, is that people who really want to know have to educate themselves. There's no other way around it. This documentary is in fact an very important milestone to GET people educated, because our bought and paid for educators certainly won't tell the un-tampered truth. I praise Russo for what he did.

What he discovered will sober you and perhaps spur you to take action.Aaron Russo is a respected Hollywood producer (Trading Places, The Rose) who has furthered the careers of Bette Midler and Led Zeppelin (back in the late 1960s).In this self-narrated documentary, Russo interviews tax protesters, former IRS agents and former IRS commissioner Cohen. The latter was clearly surprised by Russo's questions and abruptly stopped the interview. The offending question? "Where is the specific law, statute that mandates individuals pay a federal income tax?" When Cohen, and other IRS agents were questioned, their answers were the same: evasive, hostile, but no concrete citation of law. There would seem to be no law.Beyond the question of the legality of the 16th amendment and its intent, is the transfer of the government's right to coin money to a private cartel known at the Federal Reserve Board. This board is not a government agency, but a private group of bankers and investors. They are virtually anonymous and cannot be held accountable.
