Sick Product of a Sick System

For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!

Great movie! If you want to be entertained and have a few good laughs, see this movie. The music is also very good,

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

This is a strange movie, as you can tell by reading the split in the reviews, but I think you have to understand that it belongs in the Glee or Strangers with Candy genre --- broad-brush satire that is well aware of how fake and silly it is --- not the Beverly Hills 90210 or Saved by the Bell earnest after school genre.So the question, then, is how well does it perform within its genre? I think the answer is adequately, but not great. There are a few touches that are original and amusing, things like: the apparently deliberate choice of 30 yr old actors for the students, who therefore frequently can't be distinguished from the actors for the teachers. (This is even referenced/mocked at one point). Also the over-the-top awfulness of the wanna-be-cool Hollywood parent, or the lechery of the school principal. But overall the script is weak, not enough strong laughs, and some flat-out horrible scenes that are disgusting rather than amusing and that don't move the story along. I'd say if you have some reason to study this particular genre (parodies of high school TV/movies) it's worth seeing for completeness sake; but if you simply want to be amused by the genre you're better off watching reruns of Glee or Strangers with Candy (or Glee Gone to College aka Scream Queens). There remains scope for a good movie in this genre. The best apparently similar movies (like American Pie) are more teenager than high school; and most of the specifically high school parody movies are more from the point of view of the teacher and too earnest, ala Sex Ed, or too sucky ala Bad Teacher; or are pastiche (High School High).

Every event was over-done. The basics about high school were set fine, but then it was all just too exaggerated. The acting wasn't all that great for the most part. The girl drama between Gwen and Hilary just seemed so fake. It wasn't too funny. There were only a few scenes and characters who made me laugh. This film was super sexual, a little too much if you ask me. A dad marrying some chick from his daughter's school? Haha woah, right? Oh, the actors are quite attractive, again, for the most part. If you're super bored, you can watch it. Wouldn't imagine it being anyone's favorite movie. Surely wasn't mine. basically, it was a movie for teenagers, with nothing better to do, who wanted to watch everyone get it on.

It's suckier than a suck.. An amazingly bad story.. An amazingly bad cast.. They probably just rented out the local strip club for this. All the jokes are totally not funny, oh wait let me think, wait wait, oh no, i'm pretty sure ALL the jokes suck monkey ass.. The only funny thing was awesome, but how many times has that been done already? Some parts are just filthy, that dad at school all the time? Come on! A(n) (really really ugly) teacher in lingerie? And I really hope i can help someone with this: DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE! It's supposed to be like an American Pie movie, but something must have gone terribly wrong because it is more like a horror movie just because watching it is a horror.

I don't know why the hell such a movie was created. This will surely corrupt the mind of the adults even. If you really want to watch go watch a Porn Title instead. This is going no where. I believe they were trying to do something like American pie and ended up with the worst movie I've ever seen. This is a disgrace to Hollywood and is this what we should think of the American culture? Someone might argue that this is just a funny movie, nothing serious. But believe me this is a waste of time. I didn't even watched it to the end. Simply because the the father and daughter relationship is heavily humiliated in this. I would not be surprised if the next title is about incest.
