To me, this movie is perfection.
While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
View MoreThis is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
View MoreThe film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
View MoreBeing a fan of quite a few of his jokes on Mock the Week, which he is of course is one of the regulars along with Hugh Dennis and Russell Howard (and before he left, Frankie Boyle), I was keen to see him doing stand-up. Andy Parsons plays to a sell-out audience at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue as part of his tour, I was expecting it to have some mention of the talent show nearly in the title, but it was just many other subjects. He does a lot of topical comedy about what Britain has turned into and become over the years, his observations of certain subjects, and suggestions as to how we can make things better. He also points out some members in the audience, what they look like, their personal lives and what they did to get to their seat, all of which adds up to a humorous and quite enjoyable show. Good!
