This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

"Anyone Can Quantum" is a 12-minute live action short film from January this year (2016). The director is Alex Winter and I must say I am not familiar with him at all. Same can be said about the two writers, but that's a given as they have never written a film before according to IMDb. This is a little comedy film here, in which actor Paul Rudd plays a game of quantum chess against legendary scientist Stephen Hawking. We see Rudd prepare early on and hear the voice of actor Keanu Reeves throughout the entire film as he keeps telling the story here. I personally don't mind Hawking, Rudd or Reeves, but I ever found this little movie entertaining or even funny. Maybe it is one for scientists and science nerds only. To me, it was especially disappointing as I always found chess fairly interesting, but physics not so much. So yeah, I guess you need to have an interest in both subject to be able to appreciate these slightly over 10 minutes. But I guess not too many have. If you are one of the few, then give it a go, otherwise stay away or you will be as underwhelmed as I was. I give it a thumbs-down. By the way, anybody else thought of the villain organization from James Bond first when reading the title? I know I did.
