I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

Docu are raw gritty slice of life this is a whitewashed studio film. Where are the heart wrenching interviews with travis barker, nicole richie "ex fiancee" and haley wood "gf at the time"? I was excited about learning how a celebrity could resist temptation and exist in the superficial world of celebrities with out altered perception, turn out this isn't that type of movie. DJ AM of the host of the intervention rip off show on MTV and he died from drug overdose. I know DJ Am acted in Iron Man and that Marvel is a Disney subsidiarity but i expected more talk from friends and less talk from his sponsors. I could tear plot holes in this movie all night, 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, that site is officially corporate garbage. Keep your stories real or get off the field. This movie is like one long propaganda film for the 12 steps, which the message is wrong because the 12 steps fail this guy relapses and dies.

This doc. Is a definite 10/10. Hands down, no question about it. If you like music, especially if you like hip hop, this documentary will strike a chord with you. If you have ever struggled with any form of addiction, this will strike a chord with you. If you have ever felt vulnerable to your public image, this will strike a chord with you. This documentary takes you through the journey of Adam Goldstein aka DJ AM. One of, if not THE greatest DJ to ever spin. It shows the rough road from a kid all the way to his death. It shows the true overwhelming power of addiction. It shows more about the human condition than I could ever explain in a few sentences in this review. My number one suggestion is watch this movie! It is an amazing, AMAZING piece of film making. Probably the best documentary I have seen in a very long time.WATCH ITTTT!

Well crafted film about a DJ I knew nothing about but became fascinated as the story unfolded. Whether you enjoy DJ music or not this is a biographical film that stays with you. DJ Am was an immensely talented and a sensitive soul who was clearly talented beyond his time. This is the story of how he came to be such a well respected Dj and his captivating struggle to stay there.Would highly recommend.
