Spoilers ahead.If I could give two words that can explain what's wrong with this movie it would be "Wasted Potential" First off, the movie had a nice theme to start with, a girl struggling with her feelings and how the world accepts it, a good theme in itself. But almost everything in this movie ruined the potentially great message it could've given the audience. The Acting was abhorrent, genuinely the only person who showed proper acting was the woman who played "Mommy Aiza". I don't know if it's horrible casting choices or the sloppy writing that caused me to have this awkward feeling all through out this film. Probably both even, they wrote this for an entirely different cast, and other than that, the writing lacked character development, the only actual character development I saw was with Julie's mum and we barely see her in the movie. The horribly awkward dialogue was beyond laughable, to the point that I had to cover my ears despite wearing headphones. Random inserts of clichés that wasn't in anyway justifiable. Also, when were we supposed to get the hint that Roselli liked Julie? Also, Julie's girlfriend outside the...compound? Orphanage? Rehab center? What even was that place she was in?! The script was so sloppily written that we barely have ANY info on what this movie is even about! I can get into the loose ends left in this movie,but I would break guidelines. They got the wrong actors for the wrong script, and the decent acting that they put on, betrayed the mediocre script leading this film to slowly spiral into a horrible mess. Donnalyn Bartolome is a sweetheart in the Philippines, but she showed a horrible sense of judgement in Producing, Writing and Starring in this movie. Next, Technical Issues. You would see someone talk from a distance, but hear them as if you're talking to them face to face, a sign of horrible re- dubbing. The subtitles covered too much space than it's supposed to, the voices didn't match anything at all, The horribly placed pieces of music, awkward pauses between cuts, also, did I mention the horrible re-dubbing? The cluster of bad casting choices, abhorrent writing decisions, and bad life choices in general just makes this movie an ambitious mess that was so undercooked in an attempt to get people to buy it because Donnalyn is in it. If you want to watch an indie film that shows the struggles of a homosexual trying to be accepted in the community, as well as her internal struggles, don't bother buying/watching this movie, you are wasting so much time, and money that I actually wrote this for 30 minutes just to get you to not watch this.
