This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

I noticed that most of the pedestrian reviewers have said about the same thing. They got a kick out of this film, but thought it was terrible. I can't disagree. Having raised a few tomatoes in my time (you know, using those plants they sell at garden center) one ends up with so many, we don't know what to do with them. Think of the movie, "The Birds," an imagine that instead of birds you had home grown tomatoes. Throughout this film we see them rolling down the streets. We see terrified men and women, suffering at their hands (wait, they don't have any hands). A hillbilly cult is in the middle of all these attacks. It's a send up of horror movies. Somebody got an idea and spent about ten dollars to make it. Oh, of course, there is one great line I remember: "Gee, I'm gonna miss her/a tomato ate my sister." Can't beat these kinds of lyrics.

This is a monster movie about giant tomatoes. This is one of the very few comedy movies I think is funny. I hate most comedy movie. But I like this one. I also like the sequel. Return of the killer tomatoes. That one is better then this one. The third movie Killer tomatoes strike back is also better. The forth killer tomatoes movie Killer tomatoes eat France is better. 4.6 is underrating it. This is one of the funniest movies from the 70's. This movie has a great story line. It also has great special effects. L.O.L This movie is very funny. L.O.L L.O.L L.O.L L.O.L. This movie is a must see. See all the killer tomatoes movies. There are very funny.

Tomatoes are killing people. The Department of Agriculture has a secret GD-3 Project. Presidential press secretary Jim Richardson enlists Mason Dixon to lead a crack team to battle the tomatoes. Sam Smith is a man of many disguises. There are also the east European female Olympic swimmer Gretta Attenbaum and soldier Wilbur Finletter dragging around his parachute. The Times sends reporter Lois Fairchild to investigate.I really love this irreverent silly movie for the first 30 minutes or so. I found the inappropriate Japanese jokes oddly hilarious. The helicopter crash is shocking. I had to rewatch it several times and wonder how nobody got killed. I like the fun tomato attacks. Around where Ted Swan started to sing, that's when the movie started to lose me. The song and dance in this movie isn't actually funny. The ridiculous ideas slowly loses the shock of originality. The actors are strictly amateurs and their lack of presence wears thin. Nevertheless, it is fun while it lasts.

The fruit born of the plant Solanum lycopersicum has gotten used as food for millenniums...and now it takes revenge on humans! "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!" is one of the silliest movies out there. Its title explains the entire plot, and it basically contains the same sort of humor that Leslie Nielsen's movies did. There's even a scene of deliberately bad dubbing, like in martial arts movies. No matter, you're sure to laugh the whole way through as the flick pokes fun at all sorts of horror and sci-fi movies. And besides, tomatoes are one of the tastiest foods out there (did I just doom myself by saying that?). Really fun.
