Bad Acting and worse Bad Screenplay
I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
View MoreA film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
View MoreBy the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
View MoreI wish I had not wasted my time. The CGI of animals is awful and the acting is forced.
View MoreThe best time I've had watching a movie in ages. Dominick Hartl has crafted a ridiculous, fun zombie movie that feels fresh and free from genre clichés. Every killing is hilariously designed and every character is distinct and clear. This strange romp will get you in its grip almost immediately and, for it's brief 80 minutes, have you smiling. An absolute delight.
View MoreAttack of the Lederhosen Zombies is a hilarious and refreshing mix to the Zombie genre that has taken itself too seriously for too long. Director Dominik Hartl - not to mention his outstanding team of make up and special effects artists - do a great job at making this film stand out from your average ZomCom. With the humorous spin on the turn of events, it brings the laughs in thick and fast from the opening snowy descent and don't let up until the very end. In a twist of events, a local entrepreneur conducts a scientific experiment to create artificial snow on the Alps when he accidentally spews his green slime into the mouth of a potential investor. Things go from bad to worse when the ingredients to his fake snow unleash a horrendous Zombie epidemic that infects a nearby ski resort and mutates the wildlife. This film shows you all the fun that can be had in a gory Zombie movie without taking itself too seriously. If you love the thrill of Zombie killing gore with hilarious twists, I highly recommend watching this movie.
View MoreAttack of the Lederhosen Zombies delivers on exactly what its name suggests - an excellent addition to the purely-for-entertainment genre of zombie-comedy that spawned out of the horror hybrid style that embodied the Evil Dead franchise and film spoofs like Shaun of the Dead. Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies follows its predecessors in bringing grotesque violence scenes and subtle thrills together that are pocketed with slap stick humor to make for a bloody good time.To be fair, this film was never attempting to be engaging in a serious manner and allows the laughs to soak in all along the way. The story follows a group of young snowboarders in the midst of a video shoot on the Austrian Alps. However, when Steve pulls a reckless prank, fellow snowboarders Josh and girlfriend, Branka, are inevitably stranded with no way down. As Steve tries to amend his relationship with Branka at the mountain's sole ski inn, the owners attempt to profiteer his slopes has unknowingly infected his lodgers leading to the longest and bloodiest night of the year for the sole survivors. Thanks to a diverse cast, the talented young actors save Lederhosen Zombies from what might become a dull and monotonous plot. RedBull rider Marc Swoboda also lends his skills to spice things up and utilizing talent that worked on The Force Awakens and Mockingjay Part 2 creates a spirited indie effort that stands above your generic zombie flick.
