The virus came so fast no one had time to prepare. Before the day was over, entire towns were decimated, and large cities became monumental tombs. Left with nothing but fading hope and the will to live, reclusive software consultant Michael (Dexter Fletcher) and temperamental mechanic Carl (Dickon Tolson) lead a small group of survivors into the country in hopes of riding out the coming winter. But now the decaying victims of the plague are reanimating, growing more smart and vicious with each passing day. Now, the only hope for the survival of the human race is Phillip (Carradine), a man who refused to leave the city, and has somehow avoided becoming food for the flesh-eating masses.

An absolute waste of money

A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

I'm sorry but this WAS NOT "the worst movie ever made"! It actually had a different kind of take on the zombie apocalypse that was a little refreshing. Would I pay an admission fee to see it? No! But, if you (like me) are an insomniac, and a channel on your cable package just happens to be showing it some night ... give it a "look-see". You might be a tad surprised. Anyone that is a huge fan of the zombie genre, realizes that you have to watch 5 zombie movies, just to get one half-way decent movie out of the bunch. Every now and then, you get surprised and see one that looks at the zombie apocalypse from a slightly different angle. This is one of those movies. Sadly, David Carradine was wasted in this movie. If I had him under contract for my movie, I sure as heck am gonna find more'n 5 minutes worth of "screen-time" for him. And, I must say that I AM a Dexter Fletcher fan ... and, without him, the grade may have been as low as a "3" or less. Lana Kamenov was "okay", and Dickon Tolson phoned it in (tho, a lot of my problems with his work could've been due to the weak script). I'd at least give it a chance ...

Seriously... can anyone enjoy such movie? First, it is incredibly dull. It has no real beginning (no explanation of what has happened), no reasonable ending. It just seems that the memory card in very cheap camera that was used just ran out of space and they had to end the movie. Maybe it was just extremely crappy storytelling, but I wonder who in his right mind would publish such horrible mess. The main mass of the movie is literally nothingness. The people just seem to walk without any reason as the zombies themselves. Why is this so long? It is because it is cheap to make movies that consist with such nothingness? This is really waste of time. But there is positive side of the movie: You will actually learn that some B class movies are really good ones. This is the only lesson I had from this... attempt.

This Zombie Film was great. It was very unique and creative. The basic premise is a airborne virus spreads over the world and within hours only a select few "IMMUNE" people are left alive with everyone else dead where they fell. After a day or so about 3 dozen folk have gathered together wondering what to do now that everyone but them are dead. After another day or so the dead begin to get up a slowly, plodding around until they bump into something and they turn and mindlessly wander off in another direction. Despite the horror of seeing dead rise, they seem harmless. However 3 of the survivors take this as a sign to get the hell away from the city and the hundreds of thousand walkers. They spend the rest of the movie venturing of into the countryside and find a farm. But they have visitors there too. The rest of the movie is suspenseful horror as the dead begin to react to sound, get more aggressive etc. All the while the group of 3 shell up in the farmhouse and venture into towns to get supplies. This movie clocks in at about 2 hours so it has more time to develop character and dread. There is always the danger of the dead, but if you're looking for gore and gunfights this is not your movie. It is not an action movie or splatter fest but rather a realistic portrayal of what survival would be like if you were one of the last alive on earth. The makeup work on the dead is very realistic and superb…there is no CG or bad effects here There is even a 15 minute scenario where one of the three goes into a town and runs into a lonely man named Philip (played by David Carradine from Kung-fu and Kill Bill Fame) Philip however won't leave because his "sick" mum can't come along. For suspenseful Horror or Zombie fans tired of the paint by numbers gore fests that almost every Zombie film seems to follow…Please try this movie…It is truly great.

I was just looking around on Netflix for something to watch and the description seemed interesting. I usually love low budget zombie flicks. I mean, Night of the Living Dead was low budget and turned out to be a classic. What was I getting myself into? I yawned so many times through this film, it just wasn't interesting at all. I thought it might have a great storyline, but that didn't happen either. The acting was what I expected though, so no big deal there. Not much action at all, which usually isn't that important if there's a storyline. This film had nothing to keep me interested and I wouldn't recommend anyone actually paying money to buy this. But, if you want to watch a horrible low budget film, this is the one for you.
