Too many fans seem to be blown away
Too much about the plot just didn't add up, the writing was bad, some of the scenes were cringey and awkward,
View MoreLet me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

Concerning the movie BAD SEED with Luke Wilson: It was a 6 out of ten on the one to ten scale. I could be wrong, as my attention might have strayed a bit on occasion, but I thought PRESTON destroyed a vcr and TV in the motel room and then LATER was seen viewing a MOVIE on the same TV and vcr? Maybe it was a different motel? And also: the caller ID the detective travelled with: I thought you could only get an ID if the phone itself had the PAID for service on it? I don't know any hotel that gives free caller ID.Not to mention: where did the crazed stalker find the time during his busy workday from the bakery to track Preston's every move? I wish I had a job like the people in all the LIFETIME movies. They call off when they want, don't show up when needed, and rarely lose their jobs.
View MoreI really liked the movie. It keep u guessing and its a job thriller. who ever says that it isn't good needs to reconsider their ability to rank movies. I would give it two thumbs up. Plus Norman Reedus is a totally amazing actor and he really brings his character to the screen. It doesn't hurt that he's totally gorgeous either. Luke Wilson also does a very good job because he has a serious roll and he does an amazing job. The movie will have you asking yourself what is going to happen next because it takes so many twists and turn. when i saw this movie at first I was going to ignore it but as I was watching it I found that I could not turn away from it because it just has this effect on you where you don't want to blink for fear of missing a minute of the story.
View MoreAs far as such "psychological" whodunits go, this one had an OK story-line based on a realistic premise. Unfortunately, the acting was poor, and here I am particularly referring to Luke Wilson in the main role of Preston. He was never really convincing as the "cheated husband" out to avenge both his wife's murder AND the fact that he was cheated in the first place. He tried too hard, as I think someone else also pointed out in a previous comment. Dennis Farina was fair enough in his role as the private Dick (though clearly stereotyped), and overall I liked the way Norman Reedus played the Jonathan character (despite cozing up with somebody else's wife, he turned out to be not exactly a 100 per cent nasty person but actually an interesting character study in himself). Although having said that, there were a couple of things he did over the top ... like setting himself on fire, and walking around with the crucial video-tape in his pocket all along(!)
View MoreThis movie has some interesting characters and started off pretty tense. But eventually, I got worn out by the endless stupid chase scenes on foot through (maybe the same) forests. I chase you; then you chase me; then we chase him; etc. The same for the "grab the gun from the other guy." Endless.
