Great Film overall

It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

Fabulous, dah'ling! Let's be honest, this is not the greatest of storylines and not very believable either, but it was a lot of fun! The film worked thanks mainly to lead actor Joe Hursley's very natural acting, and one can't help but feel sorry for the guy! If the plot doesn't work for you, I'm certain the eye candy will more than compensate for lack of a good plot! There's actually so much here to enjoy to ensure a great movie night - as long as you don't set your expectations too high. This is just lighthearted fun with a very likable lead.

"Balls to the Wall" was exactly what I had expected it to be; a rather mediocre comedy. Now, I say mediocre because this movie is conflicted by two main issues. First, there is very little comedy in the movie (that will make me laugh), so that was a disappointment. On the upside, however, was the storyline. It was a brilliant storyline and well executed. The cast in "Balls to the Wall" was pretty good. Despite not being familiar with the lead actor (Joe Hursley), he did a good job with this role and character. And towards the end, at the male exotic dance contest there were some pretty good look-alike people at the judging table. That was fun to see.The story is fairly good. Ben Camelino is going to marry his love Rachel Matthews (played by Jenna Dewan-Tatum). But the father in-law (played by Christopher McDonald) doesn't have the required money, and turns of events leads Ben to end up as an exotic dancer, dancing for money. It is a sweet story, but it could have been spiced up with more humor and awkward situations."Balls to the Wall" is good a single viewing, but it doesn't have enough punch or value to make you want to watch it a second time around. It is good for a single evening of entertainment, just don't except to be wiping tears away from your cheeks from laughing so hard, because the movie is lacking humor!
