After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

... review please, let me ask you something respectfully!: What do I have to do to get to watch more of these remarkable cartoons?!?! Shall I donate? You need a lucky mug in the studio? Write a permission? Whatever needs to be done consider it done! Because I just love these fantastic stories! The music, the art direction, the characters, the cast, everything was just great! And for a certain level I enjoyed it more than the movies! Don't get me wrong! I love the movies as well! The Burton ones, the Nolan ones are fantastic! (Let's just not talk about the Schumacher ones already!) These titles belong to these directors. It is their vision. This one is very creative as well, but this one is the real BATMAN! The movie is not flawless though. Of course sometimes they do simple things, and there is no problem, I mean it is a cartoon, so they can get away with it! But one thing is for sure: Warner Bros. has realised that there are two groups of Batman fans out there, and one of these groups is all grown ups now! This cartoon is for them! I definitely wouldn't watch it with my child - there is blood. A lot of blood. - but for us it is like reading a comic book! They both come to life before our eyes. I was waiting for this one and I was very happy to see it eventually! So if anybody would read this from the fantastic team of creators of this great tale: Please make more! You got one definitive fan! And I'm sure that I'm not alone! :D

This movie is very very good. From starting to end this movie was just great. All the characters in the movie were looking awesome. Story was also great. Everything just bound me to watch the movie till the end. This is in my top 10 best animated movies list of DC.

It was quite a show while watching this movie because it approached some of less unknown characters that haven't been shown in the acted movies. Story follows number of characters such as Red Hood, Black Mask and Joker on their way to deal with new situations that are happening in Gotham. First Joker was very nicely shown with his madness, brutality when he beat Robin with crowbar and his provocative actions with Batman. There was a lot of action between Red Hood and Batman as on number of occasions he kept chasing him and after finally learning his real identity he tried to made him understand what is he fighting for. This is one of the better parts of DC comics and it was greatly told. Story is nicely developed and also characters are shown in their greatness. 3.5/4

Batman Under the Red Hood is a awesome movie and I can not under stand why it have not been put in the big screen ,because it has it all : action, mystery ,good characters ,excellent voice work and an amazing ending with for those who have already seen the flick or read the comic a Death in the Family and Red Hood ,you for what I am talking. The reason why DC does not try to put them on the big screen is ,in my point of view , because their first try to the The Mask of the Phantasm in 1993 flop and so the stop trying. This is cowardly for a lack of a better word.Anywat let's go to the main story, Batman is trying to find out what and who is a new vigilante in Gotham ,who calls himself the Red Hood and he uses more extreme measures in order to stop crime. Put in the story the Joker and some great secondary characters like, Nightwing, Back Mask and Ras Al Guhl and you have a roller coaster of a movie ,which fan and casual movie buffs can enjoy alike. I had fun seen it and the fact that the voice cast is not the usual ( Kevin Conroy for Batman and Mark Hamill for the Joker for example ) makes me respect the final product even more.It is said that the best hero stories are those ,which he or she faces his or her greatest adversary both in physical and mental field and we see that here. The relationship between the Cape Crusader and the Clown Prince of Crime is one of the most historic hero-villain arks so when the producers decide to show it ,they have to respect and be faithful to their mythology and not use it as just a marketing scheme in order to increase sells. Yes ,it may seem a lot ,and it is ,but when you deal with some of the most famous characters in the whole of fiction you should do that things, if you want your work to be loved and Under the Red Hood fits this criteria close to excellent. In conclusion is good ,entertainmenting ,faithfull to its source material and everything from the designs to the characters' voices show that this is not a one night stand but a serious project. So go buy or rend it and watch it ,if you love the character of the Dark Knight ,like me, then you will love this flick also.
