BBC is Kevin Spacey first film appearance since allegations of misconduct arose last fall (2017). Despite his and rest of the cast, BBC is a generic rise-and-fall movie that does nothing to elevate itself among a sea of similar looking and feeling films. Its plot is bog-standard - even if it is based on a real life story - and its characters are either stock or nonexistent while the dialogue is un-engaging and flat. For BBC, The Wolf of Wall Street is like gold (compared to brass). 5/10

Not a bad movie. Acceptable acting, directing. And even the writing was ok. IF .. And it's a big IF. IF the true story wasn't already so dam interesting. The basically fictionalized account of what actually happened is soooooo far from the truth. Find the documentary on YouTube if you want the truth.

This film was a major disappointment and really lost its way. It started out great, it drew me in and did a great job introducing the characters and the story. I love Tarron Egerton, Emma Roberts and Ansel Elgort, they did an amazing job. Even Kevin Spacey rocks up for another role he has done many times over but they weren't the problem. Half way through the 2nd act it seemed like they were just making it up as they went. I am not sure who's fault it was the writer or director but it was a disaster. The 3 stars is for the actors doing their job it's just a shame the director and writer didn't do theirs.

Considering this film's runtime is around 100 minutes it felt more like 4 hours.I struggled to find any of the characters engaging or likeable, and so didn't feel invested in the story. After about an hour (or what felt like three), my attention had waivered to the point I was on my phone looking up the real-life story behind the film.Maybe it's just not my type of movie, so give it a go yourself by all means. For me, though, this was instantly forgettable.
