The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

I tried watching it for free on Youtube and I still feel like I got ripped off. Let's start with the highs: None. This is not a "so bad it's good" movie like the first Birdemic. It's a "so bad it's bad" movie.Lows: Everyhing. All the unintentional mistakes from Birdemic 1 are now intentional in Birdemic 2. This proves just how much of a moron James Nguyen is. You can't expect to have the same level of charm by intentionally repeating your mistakes. It was funny the first time, from the terrible audio, to the coat hangers, to the idiotic birds, that had a level of humor and charm to it that you just can't repeat. I hate this movie with a passion. I loved Birdemic 1. 2 just ruined the franchise for me. Verdict: The worst movie I've seen all year. Definitely on my top 10 most hated list. This is absolute garbage. Get Birdemic 1, Trolls 2, The Room, whatever, just stay clear of this movie.

Ι proudly admit to have watched this masterpiece of a movie. The effects and cgi were just astonishing and the SFX sound was... breathtaking. It is indeed a horror film, nothing like what you have seen. The best horror movie I have ever seen. Horror movies like Psycho,The Exorcist,Seven are nothing compared to this movie. Oh, I should mention also the incredible acting... Its just astonishing to watch the lead actor acting the hell out of it. The way he walks and speak... its pure magic. Also, I loved the ecological messenger of the movie: "Don't cut down trees to make toilet paper". A movie you must watch before you die. It is NAWWTTT even a movie. Its a whole experience that's going to alter your life.

A beautifully constructed crap-fest by visionary idiot James Nguyen. With more continuity errors and awful sex scenes than the room. I would recommend this to a friend if I hated them and they had a spare pair of pants. To say this is so bad it's good would be an insult to directors everywhere. My favourite actor was the cameraman in the motel sex scene looking on and probably thinking "WHAT AM I DOING?" And also the boom Mic gave a wonderful performance in blocking out the camera so I didn't have to see the film. The film is also full of pretentious preachy messages about global warming, so much so that you could probably make a drinking game every time they mention it or check to see if a blood covered corpse is still alive. Aside from the ending my favourite part was the topless women attacking birds with towels, they actually put on a decent performance by porn standards. Another interesting factor is how the film promotes itself with references to how indie cinema is better than Hollywood, it backfires and assures me that I never want to see an indie film again. Overall it is a well crafted defecation on cinema. 10 out of 10

After much anticipation from having seen "Birdemic: Shock and Terror", I thought that there wasn't a chance that James Nguyen could outdo himself. I was wrong. The cinematic subtleties, the passionate acting and the heartfelt messages are all back, and "Birdemic 2: The Resurrection" almost puts its predecessor "Birdemic: Shock and Terror to shame. What is the definition of a good film. Is it a high budget? An epic plot? Perfect camera-work? If you answered yes to any of those, then you are one of the 99% of moviegoers who simply do not understand film. Whilst "Birdemic 2: The Resurrection" may not have the highest budget, or the most expensive cameras, it goes a long way to prove to anybody: no matter how closed minded, that good cinema takes heart and soul- not money and special effects. The calm beginning is set in harmonic juxtaposition with the eerily spooky latter half of the film- and this beautiful contrast is only added to by the dynamic counter-play between the superb leading cast.Beautifully cinematographed and perfectly executed: the heartbreaking ending rivals those of even the highest class of cinema: making "Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2" to shame in terms of cinematic art."Birdemic 2: The Resurrection" adds to Luke Nguyen's impressive resume including the much under-appreciated "Birdemic: Shock and Horror", firmly cementing him as a true master of the romantic thriller genre, and as perhaps one of Hollywood's greatest visionaries. With each film of his seemingly improving twofold, one can only imagine what drama will lie in his next film: possibly the conclusion to the "Birdemic trilogy": "Birdemic 3: Sea Eagles". With Sea Eagles being a real species in Vietnam, I myself can hardly wait.Bravo, Nguyen: Bravo. You are a true auteur.
