Best movie of this year hands down!

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

This short film is 22 minutes long, which is long for a short film. However despite that I wanted it to be longer because it offered a lot of good aspects, but a lot didn't work so well because of it feeling rush and truncated. Perhaps the running time is not the issue though, because the film doesn't seem so much interested in the heart of the film so much as it does in the, well, guts. That is to say there is a lot of gore, so if action and gore is your thing then this mostly delivers on it.It is a really well designed film, and it looks great for how quickly it was made and on a comparatively small budget. It does look great on the surface but unfortunately this is where it seems content to be happy to exist. The film seems to rush to get there, and after a very brief setup, we find ourselves thrown into a violent attach, then a gory basement, then into Descent-style horror, then arrives a Blade-esque avenger, and so on. None of it ever really sticks as well as the fake blood sticks. Instead it starts to feel overly familiar – characters, settings, and tropes which we have seen before, but which worked better because they had more sticking power for whatever reason. This is still a very solid attempt, and worth note for that, however it never cracked the surface for me, and as a result everything it did seemed lacking the roots which would have made it much more frightening and engaging.
