This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

The acting in this movie is really good.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

"The Ultimate Horror Experience with the most terrifying scenes in the history of horror"... Is that legal? Such a movie is a great idea yet the people who put this thing together must have not been thinking clearly to pin such a tag line to this video. The movie supposedly features some of the most terrifying scenes from horror movies ever put on film yet what it delivers is mainly a showcase of horror icons (It pains me to call some of them that for they truly aren't.) and someone scene of them doing what they do best. The sad part is that only a handful of scenes actual belong here, namely 4 : The Texas Chainsaw Massacre; A Nightmare on Elm Street; Psycho; and Halloween. And when I mean they belong here, I truly believe that the belong here, These 4 scenes are some of the best in the horror genre and arguably best in cinema. That last minutes of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Psycho, and Halloween are what the horror genre is all about. I would list Friday the 13th but they chose a really bad scene of Jason Vorhees not killing anyone. The rest are just filler that have no business being on such a video with such a title. 'The Fisherman' and 'Ghostface' on here?... huh? That's not scary, that's MTV Teeny Bopper Happy horror, if it can be called 'horror'. They also chose a bad scene for Chucky, they should have chose the scene from the first Child's Play where Andy's mother realizes that the doll has no batteries. What pains me is that some titles are overlooked such as scenes from The Exorcist, the first minutes of Night of The Living Dead, and scenes from Silence of The Lambs. Also the list at the end of the video disgusted me on how some people ranked things. I agreed with a few but others I couldn't think could be anymore wrong. In conclusion I would recommend this movie to anyone who was never really into horror, but be warned only a few of the movie scenes stay true to the title.

This movie is a MUST HAVE for any horror fan. It takes us on a trip to watcvh the 17 best scenes from the 17 best boogeymen, including an Easter Egg featuring Jack Frost. So, why were these boogeymen picked?Every one has a reason, I suppose. But, what about Hannibal? or that creepy girl from the Ring? or the Creeper? All three of those should be in Boogeymen 2. As a matter of fact, some of the new Boogeymen are from films lke the Ring that weren't released yet.So... What are the biggest questions on this film?Q: Why was Jason Goes to Hell the Jason selection? A: Simple. It showed you Jason. I don't believe every Friday the 13th movie does that until the end, does it? Well, yes, there were a million better Friday scenes, but, on the other hand, it showed Jason in his present form.Q: Why wasn't the Exorcist on there? Or the Shining? A: Boogeymen. Not Scary Movies. There is no Boogeymen in the Exorcist, is there? And the Shining? Maybe with a sequel. Or a suitable kill scene. There are neither. Maybe... Boogeymen 2 for the Shining, but leave the Exorcist out.Q: Why wasn't Hannibal on there? Or the Creeper? A: Although this may appear to be basically the same question as the one above, it is not. Both of these boogeymen deserve to be on Boogeymen, and maybe they'll be on B2.Q: Why was Jack Frost an Easter Egg? A: Why was he even on there? Personally, I'd prefer The Creeper, but he's an Easter Egg probably because of the nudity? I can't really answer that.Q: What is The Ugly? A: It's a bit of a Foreign film, but before you scoff, it is really a good movie, even if Hannibal deserved that spot more. I'd reccomend renting it, because it will remind some viewers of Hitchcock type Psychological thrillers. Not a bad movie.Q: Has Boogeymen 2 been announced? A: Not that I know of, but it did say "Vol. 1" On the side, didn't it. Go ahead, pick up your copy, look at the side- ah! NOW you see!Q: What can we expect from Boogeymen 2? A: I have no clue. Either it will be just new scenes from the previous Boogeymen, All new Boogeymen, or a mix of both. We could see Jeepers Creepers, Hannibal, or Children of the Corn. I'd say all are a possibility.Q: How much does this movie go for? A: It's 20 bucks on DVD. And buy it on DVD. There's a plethora of special features that you don't want to miss. I don't know about VHS.Q: Camilla? What's she doing here? A: I don't know. The movie wasn't all that great, and there's not even a sequel for it. The Ugly doesn't have one either, but it's really a good movie. I'd say it's there because it's the only Boogeywoman (cough Ring cough) that was out at the time. Note: The Ring wasn't out at the time.

While watching the end credits on the DVD, you'll notice the credits for Jack Frost 2. From the disc's main menu, go to 'Flixmix Recommendations.' On this screen you see menu entries for trailers for 'American Pie 2' and 'The Mummy Returns.' If you press the 'Right' arrow key on your remote control however, an icon appears, and if you hit 'Enter' now, you will get the chance to see a clip from 'Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman,'. A must see!As far as Boogeymen is concerned, being a 20 year plus horror fan I was a bit let down by the compilation. Flixmix boasts "Nothing but the good stuff!", but one could debate that after seeing the selections of not only some of the films, but some of the clips they chose from the film. Most of the time, they didn't include the classic scenes from the films, just secondary scenes. Nothing but the good stuff...whatever. It's not a bad disc if you a throwing a Halloween party and want a video mix, otherwise it'll be on your coffee table as a coaster within months. The Flixmix animated trivia is often incorrect, and the commentary by Rober Englund (who I love) is dull and uninspiring. The DVD-Rom features are hardly anything to write home about, but none really ever are. Other than that, you get some selected trailers, a lame Name That Frame game, and Legends Of The Boogeymen text (also filled with mistakes). A great concept fell short. Not for the hardcore horror fans, as we've seen this all before ... but with the good stuff!

Can you name a movie that has Jason, Freddy, Michael Myers, Chucky, Leatherface, Pinhead, and more in it? I sure can, BOOGEYMEN!Although the movie is just a bunch of clips put together, it shows us that the 80's and early 90's rocked! They have taken the absolute BEST in horror and smashed it all together in one killer compilation! The best part about this movie is that it takes the best scenes from the best movies. The tagline "Nothing but the good stuff" is true indeed. If you own the DVD, there is animated trivia, name that frame, original Theatrical trailers, a DVD-ROM interactive horror trivia games, Legends, Audio Commentary, and many more extras put in, making this movie a great buy!The overall presentation of this film makes it an absolute horror fest! Its like seeing all the scary parts of movies, but not having to sit through many hours of storyline! The directors put the segments together in a good, fast paced order, and I especially love the audio commentary by Robert Englund (who played "Freddy Krueger"). Overall I give this movie ********(8) out of *********(10) stars! ALSO: If you watch the closing credits, "JACK FROST 2" is billed as being in the movie, yet it is nowhere to be found in the movie, strange...Those FlixMix people always keep me guessing, Great movie!
