It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

Blistering performances.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

He's a Kansas-born comedian whose eyes are wide open and whose keen, intelligent mind is capable of calling things as they really are and translating it hilariously back to the rest of us. Well worth seeing, repeatedly, and sharing with others. Truth may not be popular; his full-on indulgent enjoyment of First Amendment rights notwithstanding, I've always felt that humor can be well-seasoned with some colorful language. All in all, for adults, I think it's great and you'll find him easy to relate to.

Ranty, angry stand up is my favorite kind of comedy. I'm pretty ranty and angry myself much of the time, so I tend to find it very relatable. However, it's only funny to rant about how stupid and irritating something is if that thing is actually as stupid as you think it is. If it turns out that you yourself are the stupid thing and you're only irritated because you're too dumb to understand the thing you're ranting about, it's not funny at all. It's just kinda sad. Such is the case with Chris Porter's stand up. For example, he has a really long bit about how some chick he knows is a moron for thinking that it's possible for the temperature to drop like 30-40 degrees in a couple of hours. This is not only totally possible, but it happens all the time. His entire show is like that. He's just repeating conversations he's had with people he thinks are wrong, even though they're totally right. If the guy would just stop talking for five minutes and read a book, eh probably wouldn't be so freaking angry. If you're wondering why I gave it 4 stars, he has one bit at the end of the set that's pretty funny and deserves some credit. It's totally not worth watching the whole set for that one bit, though. Just go find someone who's not an uneducated hick and laugh at them.

I really enjoy watching stand up on Netflix. I usually find new comedians by the recommendations Netflix provides me with. I just watched Louis C.K. before I came across Chris Porter. It was a total change of pace. This caught me off guard and I had to pause multiple times because I was laughing so hard. He is definitely one of those comedians that makes fun of stupid people and stupid situations, but it is really entertaining. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys comedians like Bill Burr. It's an in your face, you are an idiot, type of comedy. Very enjoyable to watch and I look forward to specials of his in the future. Well done Chris Porter, for saying what we all think.

I am not familiar with Chris Porter the comedian or Chris Porter the porn star, but I think I probably like the first one more. He is pretty funny, even if much of his humor here seems to rely heavily on cuss words (and not clever usage like Carlin was known for).Much of this is observational, and is not incredibly unique. His Starbucks rant is nothing that anybody else could not have come up with. But his delivery is above average, and as they say, humor is all in the timing. He has that down, and I suspect this is not the last time I will be watching a Chris Porter comedy special. And, who knows, maybe he is still refining his technique and eventually will be strong enough that he will not need vulgarity to sell his shows. (Of course, sometimes that is all you need to succeed.)
