Brilliant and touching
a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
View MoreAt first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
View MoreIt's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
View MoreSiddique tries to create that he created with his previous films like RamjiRao Speaking , Godfather and Vietnam Colony. This time he picks Mammootty to play the lead role after Hitler. The script is quite intense and has a lot of factors which was too much i suppose.I would say if it were simple then the film would have scored more in the box office. We see the young Sathya Prathapan agitated at first with his father's ( Lalu Alex ) misconduct with another woman. His father dies and this hurts Sathya Prathapan and he feels that he has done wrong to his father. He tries to rectify the ill mannerism of his father by seeking the 'other' woman but she denies any relation with the entire family. Her son also goes to jail after having a few riots under his belt. His soul mate tricks him into giving her and her father a great amount of wealth and then abandons him. This makes SathyaPrathapan swear not to have another woman ever in his life. In the whole of the movie we see Mammootty having a tough time defending his promise.Innocent tries to generate his glittering performance as in RamgiRao Speaking and Mannar Mathai Speaking but perishes.Mukesh chips in as the son of a close friend played by Janardhanan. The concentration is mainly on Mammootty , Innocent ,Mukesh ,Indraja ,Rambha ,Bhavana ,Lalu Alex and Biju Menon. Rest of the people are just show watchers.Indraja gives a memorable role that is easily her best in any malayalam movie .
