Memorable, crazy movie

Great Film overall

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

CITIZEN TOXIE is the last, to date, of the TOXIC AVENGER series and the fourth film in the franchise. It may have the biggest budget of the lot, but it's also the most poorly-made, an endless array of inane comedy and lame jokes and a film which outstays its welcome very quickly. The atmosphere is still the same but the jokes seem more tired than ever and the slapdash gore effects and offensive humour just doesn't have the same impact as before. You do get cameos from folk like Ron Jeremy and Corey Feldman but the old Troma magic just doesn't feel the same anymore.

This is miles away from the original Toxic Avenger (1984). This is really absurd and over the top full with gore and nudity as gratuitous as it can be, even full frontal. Even the face of Toxie looks different. Looks great isn't it, well, sadly it isn't.By doing things rather over the top and even dull it isn't an entry for every fan of Toxie. This is really and literally full of feces and p*ss and even fake cum. And it's done by disabled people who are made fun of, it's done by adult penetrating girls and boys and Toxie. Even blow jobs are given by fat guys to normal guys and by nude girls to doctors, yes this is really absurd.But clocking in over the usual 90 minutes it do becomes boring at times. It's worth seeing for some gory moments and I mean gore but it also did me pick up the remote to push the fast forward or even the eject button.Gore 3/5 Nudity 2/5 Effects 2/5 Story 0/5 Comedy 0/5

IMDb reviews are full of hyperbole, and no one likes reviews claiming that a decent film is the best movie ever. However, that won't stop me from saying Citizen Toxie is the richest, most entertaining action comedy I have EVER seen. Every element (except, of course, the quality of the images and special effects, which is acceptable given the $500,000 budget) of the production is beautifully polished, and every second of the film has more raw "fun" than a person can take in during a single viewing.That said, many people just won't get it. I consider myself a fan of crude humor, but even I can't watch the first 20 minutes of the film, which feature retarded children getting shot, without feeling uncomfortable. And if you've never seen a Troma movie before, you'll probably get so hung up on the poor quality of the DVD transfer and makeup/special effects that you won't be able to watch the movie itself.For everyone else, this movie is fantastic. It has a clever and engrossing plot and a creative cast of charming characters, and is so completely packed with action, subtle (really!) and not-so-subtle humor, and pure fun that even after four viewings, I get completely sucked in to the story and laugh all the way through. It's easily Troma's best film, and (this sounds blasphemous) the original "Toxic Avenger" doesn't even compare. I can't wait to see what comes next.PS-I showed select, pg-13 segments of this film to my aging parents see what normal people think of it, and they loved it too.

Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV can be described in a few words: Gory, disgusting, hysterical, offensive, violent, and so much more. This is the comeback sequel. Everyone thought Toxie was gone...but he came back in this AWESOME film! From first frame till last I was both disgusted and laughing my butt off at the same time. THis film is probably the FUNNIEST Troma film I have seen. I cannot begin to talk about this. We got Hank The Angry Drunken Dwarf as God...that right there is hilarious! I have watched this film about 20 times...my friends hate it but they don't understand Troma cinema. Troma is the only film company that has tons of naked women, old naked women, penis monsters...uh yeah don't wanna give much away .Just buy this awesome film today if you are a Toxic Avenger fan. It won't let you down. Watch it knowing you will see an offensive and disgusting movie. It has everything, and TOxie's sidekick Lardass also adds to the humor. SEE IT NOW!
