Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
View MoreThe plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
View MoreOne of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
View MoreThere is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
View MoreThis was some funny stuff. I watched it last night, and it is a hilarious horror spoof. It follows a group of dumb kids as they want to party, but rabid raccoons are killing them off! The raccoons look fake, although they are real, frozen raccoons I think I heard, but you can tell that they are not living. There is also a completely random music number, which is really, really funny. The special effects aren't great, but it adds to the humor, and the acting is awful, but again, it adds to the humor. A lot of college students dress up as old men by putting on Halloween wigs and bad mustaches. This movie is not for everyone, but if you want a so-bad-it's-good movie, this is a pretty good one. One of Troma's best newer releases!
View MoreI thought maybe this would be a funny movie, but about 10 minutes into it I realized that I was dead wrong. I wanted very badly to leave the theater in which this dreadful movie was playing, but I was sitting in the center and didn't want to appear to be rude. I just felt like it was a waste of everyone's time, and afterwards discovered that other audience members seemed to agree. "Coons" is supposed to be a comedy, but it's really more like some kids playing pretend and wishing that they were funny. This movie got a lot of local press because it was made by some teenagers -- quite an embarrassment when everyone realized that they had made a big deal over an amateur high school movie! The kids who made this movie need to attend film school, because they just don't get how to do it right. They want to be like Monty Python but all they're doing is making Monty Python look like Shakespeare. Anyway, don't bother with this.
View MoreI must admit this is the first 'amateur' film I have seen but it is anything but. Absolutely brilliant, the film flew past and I enjoyed every minute of it. The one thing about this production is the little details, all of the extras they included to beef up the script which made it so much funnier - and some of the 'inappropriate' jokes were brilliant, had me laughing through out I am genuine impressed and can't wait for their next production! I am sure they have a good career ahead of them. An earlier comment mentioned the originators of South Park and I know it's a real cliché but I do agree totally and understand where they're coming from.Keep up the good work!
View MoreThis movie is one of those surefire flicks to strike the humor cord amongst the generation X crowd. Extremely well done for the budget it was given, the screenplay and directing I thought was well above average. A select few characters make the film, such as the "Shane" character, whom acts as a gay park ranger, steals the show. I thought some of the development of the characters could have been better, though the film did not lack substance and kept the viewer wondering what kind of crazy, wild antics would happen next. A perfect rent for those who crave the "Scary Movie" type of genre- I hope these guys get together again in the near future to follow up Coons!
