It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

D-Day. A political thriller based on a secret mission by India to capture one of the most wanted criminal hiding in Pakistan. This one is best work of Nikhil Advani after cult Kal Ho Naa Ho. There is some gripping screenplay, nicely sketched characters, a purpose and above all solid acting by three male actors; Always reliable Irrfan Khan, evolving Arjun Rampal and champion of his second innings Rishi Kapoor. Huma and Shruti also do good in their small but important parts. The sub-plots of Arjun- Shruti and Irrfan's family are handled with care and lot of emotion. Although movie fails to end on a high note but you still feel satisfied because there is lot to enjoy and care in this two and half hours long mission. It deserves a watch!!

It is one of the best amalgamation of story, direction, acting and music in a bollywood product which is kinda missing these days due to a huge influx of so called MASALA movies and cheap rip-offs. Watching Irfaan Khan and Arjun Rampal on screen was like watching a boxing re-match between Muhammad Ali vs Joe Frasier. You can't pick a winner no matter who does the KO. The soundtrack, woof. Rekha Bhardwaj, slowly but surely is climbing my personal charts of best voice in the market. The "EK Ghadi" song mesmerizes like a cool breeze on a hot afternoon. Kudos to Nikhil Advani for this fiction that we all Indians wants to be turned into reality, soon. To end, the best part of the movie was Rishi Kapoor. That dialog - "Daraa ke dukaan khadi ki hai, darr jaunga to mar jaunga".

A surprising cocktail of intense plot, emotion, thrill, espionage, entertainment & action from India. A very well made out film which should have got more attention than it has got. Crisp and powerful in it's implementation, it's a true gem of good commercial Indian cinema. Unlike the shoddy, below par, almost insulting & regressive commercial movies which are churned out every year. This one is a gem of this year with superb performance by Irfan Khan & Rishi Kapoor. Entertaining classic Indian stuff devoid of slap shod histrionics and yet immensely captivating. The treatment of the film is of an action thriller but it's been backed up by a plot and a script which superbly captures the nuances of emotion, bringing depth, intensity and strong purpose to the experience.A great start to this kind of film making in this genre(which is practically non existent or too flimsy, in India). Kudos!
