This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

We all know Salman is a very good action hero.. He has done many action movies before as well... But this is his best action movie character till date... He has given a superb performance... The action sequences (there are loads) are great, and so is the music.... As we all know, it is rare for both of these things to be that good.... so, Do I need to tell you anymore?!

Indeed, I've always felt that the Salman of Dus ka Dumb and TV interviews needed to be bottled and sold. Dabangg does just that. He's alternately laconic and charming, brutal and bratty, but always with a smile. He's Bollywood's Rajinikanth and I suspect his career will continue almost as long. Perhaps he can stop weaving his hair? And yes girls, in case you think there's too much of the dishum dishum happening, there's also the money shot. Salman's shirt tears under the weight of his bursting muscles and rips itself off his chest--yes, a little pudgier than it's been, but hey, the man is 45, or is it 46. Well edited, with songs strategically placed throughout the movie, including the rousing other movies.

For anybody who wants to know what is the on-screen definition of Bollywood (read popular mainstream Hindi cinema), Dabangg is truly text book fare. It's loud, crazy, zany, exaggerated, larger-than-life, almost nonsensical, totally make-believe, comic book like, complete kitsch, generously peppered with the mandatory desi tadka (garnishing) of songs and dances that keep popping out of nowhere and is literally oozing with star charisma. Most importantly, it's not meant to make sense. It's only meant to entertain. And entertain, it does in overdoses. No, this isn't meant for people who are looking for different cinema. Nor is it meant for the viewer who likes movies to appeal to his head. Yet, for those who celebrate and serenade the 'silliness' of mainstream action movie lore and swear by its popcorn quotient, Dabangg is the greatest getaway of the season.

Dabangg is an amazing movie for all audiences. With the combination of an amazing young director - Abhinav Kashyap and the out of the box, maverick style of acting, swag ad screen presence of Salman Khan, the movie takes the audience through a ride. A ride that shows another side of Indian films. Yes, it has the songs, yes it has the 1 liner dialouges, yet the movie doesn't take it self to seriously and thats what makes it amazing. The story line, with a character that has various shades of black, gray and white, makes the movie enjoyable and also makes you want to jump around and dance!
