If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
View MoreTrue to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.
View MoreA clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
View MoreI am only going on here to correct the story as one reviewer has dedicated time on leaving wrong information.I have yet to watch a Filipino that had English subtitles. They just don't do it. IF you ever purchased a Filipino movie you are able to add English subtitles. (But that is in its more recent years that they have started doing that - DVD's)The story is about a Man named Mario who is the sole caregiver of his older sister Brenda. Mario is a hard working man that has had several jobs and one of them his co worker that asks him to take care of his daughter on his dying breathe and makes Mario promise him.Ana, the daughter of his co worker gives Mario a hard time. Ana only explains herself as being difficult because she just simply wants to be with her Mother. Mario promises to help her as he can see his situation only getting worst with having to take care of his older sister Brenda (whom is mentally not there because of a tragic incident) and of course a growing little girl Ana.Ana in the meantime agree's to behave and help's bridge the gap for Mario and his long time crush Maribel. The story unfolds further with its funny moments and the climatic point of Ana hearing news of her Mother. Mario, Maribel, (Ate) Brenda, his neighbour Samson(who has a major crush on Mario) whom fights with Ate Brenda all the time all live happily ever after. Question is, is Ana with them? Watch the movie to find out!It is a warm heart-ed comedy that will make you laugh, and cry. How I wish Filipino movies would remain this way.
View MorePlease note that I offer this review of DADDY O BABY O without having seen a subtitled version of the film.Although the Republic of the Philippines has the fourth largest English speaking population on planet Earth, it is very rare to see Filipino movies with English subtitles, and DADDY O! BABY O! is no exception.Mario, the Daddy-O of "DADDY O BABY O" seems to badly need a wife to care for his little baby-O. So, his two older sons assist him in going back on the market and playing the mating game. As is the standard tagline for any comedy from Asia... hilarity soon follows.Although a comedy, the awkward situations we see Mario dealing with are more uncomfortable to watch than laugh inspiring. DADDY O BABY O is well intentioned, but unfortunately it is not the most funny comedy, or watchable film, in the universe.
