So much average

In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

I like detectives. I watched this one with pleasure. Acting is perfect. "Don't wake up sleeping dog". The dog is truth. While it is hidden, life of two connected families and 2 of their friends and companions can go it's routine way. As soon as they "wake up the dog", it changes everything. "The sleeping dog" is a suicide of one of the members of their friendly circle, which happened a few years ago. Began with discussing why had he done, what he did, they have found in his death more then they expected to find and more then they wanted to know... In some extend this story is more then just ordinary detective story, because it reveals complex and confused relations between close friends at first sight. But is it really so?

There is so deep film. I understood it only now when I am 42. Sometimes we missed dangerous corners, sometimes not. If you are Russian you saw it already, if not I am sorry because it was not translated into English. The movie is a little bit different with original book by Pristly, but it does not spoil the film. As you can see from database this screen play is popular. The same story was played in Dangerous Corner (1965) (TV) made in Australia and in USA as a movie Dangerous Corner (1934). It means that original book was good enough for many people. The main idea of the movie is an sleeping dog:). It is not dangerous at all to pass SLEEPING cruel dog. But you can wake it up and dog will bait you. You may lost even parts of your body or whole your life. So do not wake up sleeping dog!
