An Exercise In Nonsense
A brilliant film that helped define a genre
This was an adult movie..very soft...that was worth watching simply because the process was situations that could occur in real life. I thought the blonde..Kim Yates? was delectable and a pretty decent actor as well. After all, not every movie is made to compete for an academy award. But both lead actresses did very well in their characters.I give the movie a 6.
View MoreThere is a scene where Kim Yates and Lauren Hays, both naked, lean up against each other in a sauna in a lesbian encounter that is something else. Ms. Yates is at her doe-eyed, perfect body best here and Ms. Hayes gets out of her ordinarily somewhat staid characterization to really heat things up. I think, besides what Gislef, who I respect, has to say. It is a classy soft core film.
View MoreI've seen this movie many times before, and I always think the same things going into it...."Man, I wish the girls would get together again," or "Why don't they have an orgy?" You'll see in a moment.A couple has just moved into a new neighborhood. They have friendly...no, wait a sec...REALLY friendly neighbors, and they want to show their new next-door chums a good time. They all head out to the beach, where one thing leads to another and they end up swapping spouses for the night. The new couple soon learns that their little fling left their neighbors wanting more. The two main women, played by softcore/erotica veterans Kim Yates and Lauren Hays, delighted me every time they were on camera. I mean, these girls look great and Lauren was quite convincing as the psychotic neighbor who just can't keep her hands off other wives' husbands. There's a great scene about halfway through, the morning after the two ladies got busy with each other, where Lauren walks up to Kim and says, "Hey girlfriend," in a more-than-just-friends kind of voice. That scene is worth the price of admission alone! The movie pretty much sticks to the traditional plot twists and such, right until the end, but it was a decent flick nonetheless. In my opinion, it gets a solid B+.Sex: A- Women: A Story: B Overall: B+
View More...I sat through this, because it was on Cinemax late-night and it actually had something resembling a plot in-between the (many, tedious) sex scenes. The things I do for the IMDB! But finally, it's just an excruciatingly bad movie, a remake of Pacific Heights, Single White Female, and every other "our neighbor(s) are nutcases!" movie ever made. Probably doesn't even deserve an entry in the IMDB, or my bothering to post user comments. But future generations must be warned!
