Dark Regrets is the short film Horror /Thriller movie by Alex Gilbert. The movie was in Pre-Production since the end of 2009. Alex Gilbert found his cast and crew for the movie when Producer of the movie Angus McKay decided to help out. Angus helped write the movie along with Alex who wrote the draft of the movie in December 2009. Plot: "Freeman" is overrun by a Diary that controls his life for a week and he has to do as the Diary says or the person who is watching him "Mr X" will kill him. He has to hunt down people that he knows and what the Diary says is what Freeman has to do. The story goes back in time with same killings that happened in 1980 with a Diary and a man called Mr X. Freemans brother "Michael" follows Freeman and he slowly investigates the deaths of the same type of people that were killed in 1980 by a victim who is controlled by Mr X.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Nice video, Enjoyed it a lot. Good for Alex Gilberts first official project. Some of his older short films have changed a lot since this one. I enjoyed watching a lot of the camera scenes that Alex found as a technique. Watching the making of this on Youtube makes me think how hard it would have been to make in time with only 5 people on set each day with filming. I hope to see more videos from Alex in the future. I am really impressed with the music on this short film that Alex had wrote and played himself. I watched this on Youtube a couple of times and Im impressed how he spent the video on a low budget but also got a lot of the work done on time during the pre and production of the video.

This is an interesting short film. Alex did a swell job with the Music Score on the Short Film and with only his knowledge from his experience at the Local TV Station he has learnt well. The acting is not the best in the video but the best actor in the Short Film would have to be "Angus McKay".The camera angles are really well done except for one scene where 'Freeman' is walking along with his Diary in the first couple of scenes. The Scene with Alex himself playing a cameo scene was interesting, especially with the blood cut on the face killing Alex's character off right away. That part I did not understand. But over all this short film is amazing for what work Alex Gilbert did all himself. I hope he works on a sequel with this Short Film in the near future.
