disgusting, overrated, pointless

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

Frances Chung

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

First of all, this is not a "fake" review as cited by a certain PRO BONO movie critic. This is simply my take on film that was put together by a few honorable men, with whom I have no affiliation. I watch a lot of films, but created a profile after seeing warrant-less attacks by a de facto critic that seems to be utterly clueless about the excellent job done in making this movie.Motorcycling has drawn men together for over seventy years now. Films like The Wild Ones and Easy Rider have inspired many. This film is cut from the same cloth.Jeff Black and the late Chico Mora both do excellent jobs playing their parts. Another pleasant surprise was the debut acting job done by the young Talon Vaughn. For me, the presence of other mainstays in the motorcycle club lifestyle only enhanced the credibility of the film. This is a film about men who take care of their own. It is an independent film that packs many lessons and examples and an amazing soundtrack. The incorporation of the music is done in a great way reminiscent of Easy Rider and American Graffiti. An excellent job again, by Mr. Santo.Of course, if you like to sit behind your MacBook Pro and tear movies apart for free while you drink ten dollar lattes, then I'm sure you can find faults with this film or any other movie produced in the past hundred years.Side note - I grew up modestly (poor) – with very basic television in the south. While living more than 1000 miles away from Chicago, I could seemingly always find a Cubs game on the radio or TV. I became a fan of Ron Santo and other Cubs. It was nice to see his son put together such a great film. After watching the film and seeing the hard work that went in during the making of DI5, I became a fan of another Santo, and I look forward to seeing more of his work in the future.I encourage you to buy this film like I did. The "Making of" DVD included gives you a glimpse of the effort put in to make this film and the hard work done by those associated with it.Ride On, Sonny!

Powerful movie. I've read some reviews obviously coming from individuals that watch too much Star Wars. Was this movie shot and filmed on a billion dollar budget,. No. Was the Story and meaning behind this film powerful as all Hell. Definitely. Being in the Biker community this movie tells the story of True Family. Closer than blood family. Right wrong or indifferent family that very few ppl ever get to experience. Relating to situations and struggles and everyday life and demons and torment us all. And at the end of the day having people in your life that even though your not the best in the world have your back right wrong or indifferent and aren't scared to tell you, your wrong but we'll figure it out is what life's all about. Standing up for your beliefs and believing whole heartedly in who you are. This movie has it all from standpoint of the ones who live it everyday. Are Tested everyday and at the end of the day hold there heads up high. The Story and Life is what makes this movie. 15 outa 10. Critics need to realize,.. this is a life not a movie. MLH&R . If ya have to look that up on google this movie ain't for you.

I found the movies great! I love watching independents break out of the cookie cutter boxes and share their stories. Knowing this film is rooted with the works of an American Legend and real people had me hyped to watch it! "Aren't most people curious about this man?" COME ON! You know you are :-) With this perspective it absolutely did not disappoint me. I was curious, entertained and sometimes shocked. It made me smile, laugh and even cry. While some posted about the quality, I think that is a matter of preference based on how you define quality to begin with. If you want all the latest and greatest technical "FAKE" thrills, then you may not appreciate this film. If you want to support independent film makers trying to get their stories out, bring you real people in real places , (which is quality in my opinion) YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED with this. So are you a people or a sheeple? Your decision, choice and money. But I would suggest you watch it!

Best movie I ever saw in my life. This is from the real deal. This raw and unrefined because it's a no bull look into the life. I'ts real guys doing real stuff. This ain't the fairy tale you're probably used to.It ain't some big budget hype with big names and big sets and the cream of Hollywood. This real bikers Written by the original, the Man the Legend Sonny Barger, and the actors are the real deal. It's as close as most people will ever get to the life. It's as close as most dare to get. It's not for everyone,it's just for those who can handle and want to see real people who lived it before they made the movie. If you want to get the story straight from the horses mouth then you come to the right place. If you're happy with the normal big studio fodder ya might not like it.I guess it depends on that.Just like me I ain't a real movie critic I'm a real guy who's Just glad there's a few other real guys around.
