It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

View MoreFour girlfriends go to a secluded villa to have a bachelorette party. Gabby (Marcia Do Vales) is getting married to Michael and aspires to be an actress. Along with Gabby is Mary (Natalia Celino) a reclusive woman who claims to be a virgin, Silvia (Victoria Broom) who joined the mile high club on the way over, and Anna (Tabitha Quitman) who is the most normal in the group. They hired a stripper for the night. Max, the dog is chained up outside. He bites, except Gabby who grew up with him. There is a locked room and no phone reception. It isn't long before things become unraveled and the blood flows. This is a slasher film, whose twist I knew before I had any clues. The dialouge was border line. It lacked the humor normally associated with British slasher films. There are better slashers out there.Parental Guide: F-bomb, sex, nudity (Natalina Celino)
View MoreActually this was a good film, in spite of what you will read in some of the reviews. I didn't like the setting, as I think British horror should be set in the UK. The Spanish setting just somehow didn't give a frightening backdrop to the film. That said, there was genuine tension in the film and the kills were good. Contained the usual partial kill of the main protagonist followed by an amazing resurrection (this always gets on my wick, but it goes with the territory). There was lot of nudity throughout. Natalia Celino is hot and underrated as an actress. Her role here was not helped by some inane dialogue at what was supposed to be a tender erotic moment. I think the Brazilian lead has potential to be a very convincing horror actress in spite of the rather heavy accent. All in all a good film and one which is well worth seeking out. Currently on at Poundland (for a pound, surprise surprise),along with some other low budget efforts.
View MoreWhat can I tell you about this British horror flick. Not that much in fact except that it wasn't that good at all. The idea was rather okay but the way it is made isn't what makes a good horror flick. There's no real gore to spot even as it is stated that it is blood soaked. I can tell you,it isn't. Sure, there's blood everywhere but no gore with it attached. Further the acting itself is so bad that you just don't care about any chararcter.Gabrielle (Marcia Do Vales) looks deranged but due the overacting it became a bit ridiculous. All elements are there to make her a sicky but it just doesn't fit. And it goes to worse because all other girls involved do look sexy but they are talking about being f*cked here and there but when they go for a swim then you might expect nudity, not at all. Only one scene involves some huge titties while being taken for the first time but even that becomes ridiculous when she is saying, it was my first time and bragging about it. At her age, she should have been taken a thousand times. It could have been a good slasher but it is to be honest never scary or whatsoever. deranged, yes, if you are watching this.Gore 0,5/5 Nudity 0,5/5 Effects 2/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 0/5
View MoreI watch a lot of horror movies, including many horrible and low budget ones. While this one wasn't the worst, it really doesn't have anything to offer. The plot is unoriginal and uninteresting, but that in itself isn't a big deal. What makes this movies bad is the characters aren't very engaging, everything is spelled out from the beginning so there are no surprises, and the horror aspect is seriously lacking.Everybody gets killed so quickly without putting up a fight, like it would really be that easy for one petite girl to kill like 5 people with just a knife, even after they're all on guard and they know someone is after them. And for people who are into gore there wasn't much of it, towards the end there was some blood on the people and that's it. You'd think in this type of movie the very least it would have is a lot of blood. And I know that having a good build up of suspense can be more difficult for a movie like this so I wasn't expecting much, but when they tell you right at the beginning of the movie who the killer is, who she's going to kill, and why, it's like they weren't even trying. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense either, I guess the only explanation they could give was the title. No suspense, no characters you care about, and no gore just lead to a very dull horror.
